The Top Bar (across the very top)

• RaeNotes logo (top left) – clicking this will always bring you back to your home page, like a "home base" button.
• Search bar (the long bar in the middle) – type a word here to find any recording by name.
• Question mark button – click this if you ever need help.
• + ADD RECORDING button (the big gold button) – this is how you upload or create a new recording. You'll use this often!
• "TL" circle (top right) – this is your personal account icon, showing your initials. Click it to access your account settings.

The Left Side Panel (your filters)

Think of this as your sorting and searching helper — it helps you narrow down your list.

• Sharing – shows recordings that are yours or ones others have shared with you.
• Upload Date – filter by how recently something was added: past week, past month, past year, or older.
• Assessment Due – flags recordings that need attention.
• Duration – find recordings by length — under 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, or longer.
• Tags – coloured labels to help organise recordings by person or topic.

The Folders Area (the gold folder icons)

Just like folders on your desk, these keep recordings organised by group:

• The three-dot menu (⋮) beside each folder lets you rename, move, or delete it.

Changing How You View Your Recordings

In the top right corner of the recordings area, you'll notice three small icons sitting side by side. These let you choose how your recordings are displayed on screen — like choosing whether to view sessions as a slideshow or a list. There are three options:

• ⊞ Tile View (the grid of squares icon)
• ☰ List View (the lines icon)
• ⊟ Table View (the grid with columns icon)

The Checkboxes – Selecting Recordings

To the left of each recording you'll notice a small empty square — that's a checkbox. Here's what you can do with them:

✅ Comparing Two Reviews Side by Side

If you'd like to look at two recordings together — for example to compare notes from two different sessions — you can:

• Click the checkbox next to the first recording — a tick will appear.
• Click the checkbox next to the second recording.
• Once two are selected, a Compare option will appear on screen, letting you view both reviews side by side.

Quick Tips for Getting Started

• To add a new recording → click the gold + ADD RECORDING button.
• To narrow down a long list → use the filters on the left side.
• To change how recordings look on screen → use the three view icons in the top right of the recordings area.
• To select multiple recordings → use the checkboxes to compare two reviews or delete several at once.
• To find something fast → use the Search bar at the top.
• Not sure what a button does? → click the ? help button at the top right.
